Maternity Shoot

Our sweet photographer friend, Rachel Camp, met us at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens last weekend to do our maternity shoot. She did an awesome job capturing me weighing more than I hope to ever weigh for the rest of my life the joy and anticipation we are feeling as we wait for Ben's arrival (in less than 4 weeks!)

In the seven years that we've been married, we've never had professional photos taken. I'm not really sure why, especially since most couples end up with treasured portraits like this one:



Obviously, we were trying to avoid some of the awkward maternity pics I've seen over the years, and Rachel did a great job of making us feel comfortable and capturing some shots that are really "us." I'm thankful we'll have these pretty images to look back on over the years.

Thanks for doing such a beautiful job, Rachel! We are really enjoying these pictures right now, although I know they will be old news in just a few weeks, when we have a new subject to photograph!
